A Bangladesh entity starts with the statutory defaults already in place — the working week, the overtime rate and the leave entitlements — rather than a blank form to fill in from the Act.
Labour Act 2006 § 108. The overtime multiplier defaults to 2.0 on a Bangladesh entity, and every approved overtime claim is costed at that rate.
Labour Act 2006 § 116. Seeded as the default sick-leave balance for a Bangladesh entity, and adjustable per organisation in the leave policy.
Labour Act 2006 § 117 grants one day for every eighteen worked, not a flat yearly figure. A Bangladesh entity starts at 20 days as a starting default; set the real entitlement in the leave policy, because somebody who joins mid-year accrues less.
Attendance, late marks and payroll periods all run on Asia/Dhaka with Friday and Saturday as the weekend — so nobody is marked absent for not working a Friday.
Under the Income Tax Act 2023 and the NBR rules made under it. The Bangladesh country pack seeds both rates; withholding is computed on the ex-VAT subtotal of a bill, reduces the supplier payable and posts to a withholding-tax-payable account.
These are defaults the software ships with, not legal advice. Compliance rests on how your organisation actually pays and rosters its people; SoraCore records those decisions and produces the registers. Check the figures against current law with your own adviser.
